Apple is apparently planing to make their operating system unusable by sane people in the next few years, I know windows 7 has atrocious tablet support for the older tablets so that is not an option so I need to know how linux would work with a graphire 4 or and intous 3.
I run Linux. Several sorts. Never tried stuff with a tablet, but support for most tablets is pretty good from what I've read, and getting not-supported hardware working is usually really easy.
linux doesn't use drivers(or doesn't call them that, anyway), although with a device wrapper *can* sometimes use windows drivers(often unnecessary anyway). What it natively uses do the same thing, though, and it should be well supported.
Well timmy also tells me they work good so that is all I need to know. Thank god, I don't want to replace the perfectly good intuos 3 with a 4 that is known to have a usb defect
I recommend Ubuntu, since its the most beginner friendly.
