Well some of you may have heard me bitching about my various medical conditions. One of them is when my feet/hand gets to hot and I have to shove them in ice water or something. Let us clap for the dermatology nurse practitioner! Because after a decade I finally have an answer
[link] .
This is a big deal for me because this is the thing that makes me:
-Unable to walk long distances (less than half a mile)
-Do any real exercise other than for example swimming, because it will keep me cool
-Stand for an hour or more
-Sleep in a lot of cases, it is really fucking hard to sleep when you feel like someone has put your feet in the oven
-as of recently, write/draw properly. During bad flare ups I can't bend fingers on my hand anymore.
If you can probably guess, the first three of those things are required for a lot of jobs. The brief time I held a job at walgreens I would have to run off somewhere every time no one was looking to sit down on a pile of boxes a built or in the bathroom because my feet were in pain, burning, and bright purple. If I had been caught doing this I would have been fired. Most retail jobs require being on your feet the entire 6+ hour shift and that is more than I can do by a lot. Hopefully this diagnosis will get me some sort of disability help that will at least require all employers to supply me with chairs.
Sheesh!
At least they know (sort of) what you have, unless it's secondary to something else.
Too bad House is only fictional, or you might be a good candidate.
I find that solves a whole host of problems.
*suddenly realizes he fits that criteria*
Uh oh.
. o O ( must get dirty, and fast! )
Riiiight.
I think the object should be to get the guy to pay for the ticket and either come to you, or fly you to him.
Smart.
