It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

So today was my last final for this semester. There will be no more studying thank god.

I however need to clean my room by saturday and um.. I haven't cleaned it since like august and it is reallllly bad. Really dreading that.

What is worse? My wifi is broken, just on this computer though. My old computer that is the same model just older, while running the same exact copy of the operating system via booting off my external is fine. Plugging an Ethernet cord from that computer to this one is also fine, so this means it's a fucking hardware problem with the wifi antenna.
And I have no time to take this damn thing to the store so I am stuck down via ethernet cable. The working computers are either a desktop, a netbook, or a laptop that doesn't have a functioning battery so I am not portable really. I am not sure how well the netbook would do with internet sharing plus it's mom's main computer so that is annoying.

I have been cleaning the apartment in spurts. My room is significantly neater than it was a few days ago and my living room is a bit better. Those are mostly the things I have been putting off, I do clean the bathroom sink (which gathers an unusual amount of gross for some unexplained reason) and counter tops on a regular basis... I suppose I should wash the floors a little more often though.

So I would come clean your room but I wore myself out cleaning my own things. >_>
